Summary

Aurora bars overnight parking from 3 to 5 a.m. downtown and on major arterial and collector streets citywide, unless the vehicle displays a valid city-issued all-night parking permit.

No person shall park a vehicle on any street herein below provided between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. of any day: Within the area defined in section 27-2 as the central business district unless a valid parking permit issued by the city is properly displayed in said vehicle.; On any other arterial or major collector street (except as provided in subsection (b)), as both are designated in the city comprehensive plan; or On any other street specifically designated by the city council, a list of which shall be on file in the office of the city clerk. Notwithstanding subsection (a) hereof, parking of vehicles shall not be prohibited between 3:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. on said major collector streets unless a valid parking permit issued by the city is properly displayed in said vehicle. All-night parking permits may be issued by the traffic compliance administrator pursuant to the guidelines outlined in the parking management policies on file at the office of the city clerk.
