Loading zones on public streets are a municipal function in Kane County; cities and villages sign and enforce their own loading, standing and delivery restrictions, backed by the Illinois Vehicle Code. The county's parking ordinance, Sec. 21-13, governs only lots at the Government Center, Courthouse complex, youth home, diagnostic center, family court and circuit clerk premises, and a 'schedule of the current parking restrictions and regulations and assignments of parking' is incorporated by reference for those lots. The county nuisance code does not create street loading zones.
Street loading violations are enforced by the municipality or sheriff under the Illinois Vehicle Code; county-lot restrictions per Sec. 21-13 as posted.
