Cedar Park Code §17.04 bans on-street overnight parking (10:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.) for recreational vehicles, trailers, and any vehicle over 1.5 tons or 21 feet, and prohibits inhabiting any vehicle parked in the right-of-way.
Under Article 17.04, no recreational vehicle or trailer shall be parked on any public roadway or right-of-way between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. except for emergency repair/service or under a permit issued per §17.04.013. The same overnight window applies to any vehicle with a manufacturer's rated carrying capacity of more than 1½ tons or exceeding 21 feet in length. No person may inhabit a vehicle (including an RV) at any time while parked on a public roadway or right-of-way inside the city limits. The Building Official (or designee) may issue an RV permit, valid for a maximum of 7 consecutive days and not more than 15 days per calendar year, at a fee of $10.00 per day (Appendix A fee schedule).
Class C misdemeanor under Code §1.01.009 — fine up to $500 per Tex. Penal Code §12.23. Police may cite and arrange towing of vehicles violating the overnight window; habitation in a vehicle in the right-of-way is independently cited.
