Arlington Heights prohibits overnight street parking between 2:00 AM and 6:00 AM from November through March for snow removal. Year-round overnight parking is subject to village rules and limited permit availability.
The Village of Arlington Heights enforces a seasonal overnight parking ban on all village streets from November 1 through March 31 each year. During this period, no vehicles may be parked on any public street between 2:00 AM and 6:00 AM. This restriction applies regardless of whether snow is forecast, ensuring streets are always accessible for plowing operations. Outside the winter season, overnight street parking is generally permitted but subject to the 48-hour continuous parking limit. Residents who lack sufficient off-street parking may apply for overnight parking permits through the Police Department. Permits are limited and may not be available in all areas. Guest overnight parking passes may be available for temporary use. Contact the Police Department at (847) 368-5300.
Vehicles parked on the street during the overnight ban period receive parking citations. During snow events, vehicles may be towed at the owner's expense. Fines are typically $25 to $75 per violation.
