Tomball does not impose a citywide overnight street parking ban. Vehicles may generally park on residential streets overnight provided they are registered, operable, and comply with all posted restrictions.
The City of Tomball does not have a blanket overnight parking ban on residential streets. Vehicles may remain parked on public streets overnight as long as they are currently registered with valid plates, in operable condition, and not in violation of any posted restrictions. Inoperable, unregistered, or junked vehicles on public streets are subject to the city's abandoned vehicle provisions and may be tagged for removal. Certain newer subdivisions within the city may have HOA covenants that impose additional overnight parking restrictions beyond city ordinance requirements. Vehicles may not block driveways, fire hydrants, or fire lanes at any time. The Tomball Police Department enforces parking violations on public streets.
While overnight parking is generally permitted, inoperable or unregistered vehicles may be tagged and towed after notice. Vehicles blocking fire hydrants or fire lanes face immediate towing at the owner's expense.
