Overnight and on-street parking in North Las Vegas is regulated under NVMC Title 11 (Vehicles and Traffic). The city does not impose a universal overnight parking ban like some Nevada jurisdictions, but vehicles cannot be parked in the same spot on a public street for more than 72 consecutive hours before they are considered abandoned and subject to tagging and tow under NVMC Title 11. Commercial vehicles over a specified gross weight (commonly 10,000 pounds) and trailers over 20 feet are typically prohibited from on-street parking in residential areas except for active loading and unloading. Recreational vehicles, boats, and utility trailers stored on city streets are restricted and typically must be moved within 24 to 72 hours, and storage on private property usually requires placement in a side or rear yard and screening from view. Vehicles must be currently registered and operable; flat tires, missing plates, or visibly inoperable condition can trigger abandoned-vehicle procedures. Parking is prohibited on unpaved surfaces in front yards under most HOA rules and in some zoning districts. HOAs in Aliante, Eldorado, and Tule Springs generally impose stricter overnight rules including driveway-only parking and limits on guests.
