Cherry Hill, NJ Parking Rules: Overnight Parking (2026)

Section 10-8.8, Parking Prohibited During Certain Hours on Certain Streets, does not set a single overnight cutoff for the whole Township. It instead bars parking, except on Sundays and public holidays, between the specific hours listed for each named street or side of a street. Some of those windows are genuinely overnight, such as Birch Drive between Garwood and its terminus, restricted from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Others cover most of the day rather than the night, like Beideman Avenue, Delaware Avenue and Farrel Avenue, each restricted along their entire length from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The section has been amended dozens of times since the 1950s, most recently in 2015, as the Township Council added or adjusted individual streets one ordinance at a time, which is why the provision reads as a long table of named streets rather than a single citywide rule. A driver on a street not named in Section 10-8.8 is not subject to this particular overnight restriction, though the separate residential Parking Permit System in Section 10-8.9 can still limit daytime parking on posted permit streets, and New Jersey's own Title 39 parking rules, cross-referenced at Section 10-8.1, continue to apply everywhere in the Township regardless of any local street-specific listing.
