In the City of Spartanburg it is unlawful to park in a marked loading zone between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on any day except Sundays. Outside those hours the space may be used for ordinary parking.
City Code § 40-74 makes it unlawful to park any vehicle in an area designated and marked as a loading zone between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on any day except Sundays. The restriction reserves curb space for active deliveries during business hours; on Sundays and after 6:00 p.m. the zone is not enforced as a loading zone. Related city rules bar parking that leaves less than ten feet of roadway (§ 40-69) and prohibit standing a vehicle to display it for sale or to wash or repair it (§ 40-71).
Parking in a loading zone during restricted hours is a misdemeanor subject to a city parking fine; the vehicle may also be ticketed and towed if it obstructs traffic.
