Camden County, NJ Parking Rules: Loading Zones (2026)

Section 10 of Article 4, 'Motor Vehicles,' opens by making general state law apply on county park land: 'All provisions of the State Motor Vehicle Act and Traffic Laws will apply on Camden County park lands and will be strictly enforced,' with the county's own regulations layered on top. Subsection (A) gives the Parks Director authority to designate one-way streets and to restrict parking areas to particular persons or officials, or to limited hours, provided the restriction is posted with signage. Subsection (B) is the baseline rule: 'No person shall park or store any motor vehicles, wagon, cart, or trailer on county park land except in areas designated and posted for such purposes,' and even a designated lot is 'for the use of park patrons only,' not general commercial or overflow parking.

The article also bars repairing vehicles on park land (§ 10(C)), driving on grassy areas without the Director's written approval (§ 10(D)), and parking any vehicle over 6,000 pounds gross weight on a paved park lot, along with off-road vehicles and snowmobiles outside Director-authorized times and places (§ 10(E)). Anyone who parks in violation of a posted restriction is subject to a fine under the opening paragraph of Section 10, and the county may tow the vehicle away and bill the violator for 'all applicable towing and storage fees' rather than simply issuing a ticket.
