Prince George's County, MD Parking Rules: Loading Zones (2026)

Prince George's County Code Subtitle 26, Section 26-124 authorizes the Director to determine the location of loading zones and passenger loading zones and to place and maintain signs indicating the zone and the hours the restrictions apply. Section 26-125 limits standing in a passenger loading zone to the time needed to take on or discharge passengers, not to exceed the posted limit. Section 26-126 restricts standing in a loading zone to loading or unloading materials, again within posted time limits, and only for vehicles actually engaged in that activity. These are countywide traffic-control provisions for unincorporated areas; incorporated municipalities designate and enforce their own loading zones. General parking-violation fines apply under Section 26-127.04 and Division 15.
