Madera County, CA Parking Rules: Loading Zones (2026)

Under Madera County Code § 18.102.110, any commercial, industrial, or institutional development must provide loading spaces on the same lot at the time of building development. Structures under 10,000 square feet need at least one small truck loading space, 10 by 25 feet, recommended within 50 feet of the structure and marked on the pavement; the zoning administrator can require a large space instead based on the type of business. Structures of 10,000 square feet or more need at least one large truck loading space, 12 by 55 feet, at a loading dock or service entrance, with additional spaces within 100 feet. This is a space-sizing standard, not an hours rule: the code sets no loading-zone hours.
