Seminole County's Traffic Ordinance addresses overnight and overtime parking in Chapter 250, Article VII (Sec. 250.78) for county-maintained roads in the unincorporated area. Overnight parking of trucks and commercial vehicles in residential zones is separately restricted. Cities set their own overnight rules.
There is no single countywide ban on all overnight residential parking, but several rules combine to limit it. Chapter 250, Article VII, Sec. 250.78 (Overnight or Overtime Parking) governs how long a vehicle may remain on a county road. Sec. 250.75 bars heavier trucks and commercial vehicles from residential zones overnight, while exempting personal pickups and RVs. A vehicle left long enough to appear abandoned or inoperable can be cited as a junk-vehicle nuisance under Chapter 95. HOA covenants often impose stricter overnight limits than county code. Inside Sanford, Altamonte Springs, Casselberry, Oviedo, and other cities, the municipal parking ordinance controls.
Overtime or prohibited overnight parking on county roads may be ticketed or towed by the Sheriff's Office; nuisance/junk vehicles are handled by Development Services code enforcement.
