Clackamas County has no blanket overnight-parking ban, but Code 7.01.020(I) prohibits leaving a vehicle on a county road more than 72 hours without moving it at least three vehicle lengths, and 7.01.020(L) bans camping or living in a vehicle parked on a county road in residential areas.
On unincorporated county roads you may park overnight, but Code 7.01.020(I) makes it a violation to leave any vehicle in the same spot for more than 72 hours without moving it at least three vehicle lengths away. Separately, 7.01.020(L) prohibits using any vehicle or trailer to camp in or live in while parked on a county road or highway in a residential, commercial, or industrial area. The Sheriff's non-emergency line (503-655-8211) handles vehicles left in the road over 72 hours. Incorporated cities may impose stricter overnight bans.
Parking citation and possible boot/tow; after 72 hours the vehicle may be booted (7.01.130) or towed (7.01.080).
