The Vehicle Code also restricts how oversized loads and vehicles may travel and stop on highways. In the Mountain Region, additional seasonal and snow-removal parking controls apply on posted roads. Because there is no general posted oversized-vehicle permit system on most unincorporated streets, owners of large RVs, trailers and trucks should focus on the 72-hour rule, the commercial-vehicle weight thresholds, and posted local signage.
Parking a heavy or commercial vehicle in excess of County weight limits (County Code Sections 52.0125, 52.0128, 52.0131) can be cited under Title 5.
