In unincorporated Manatee County, RVs and boats ("restricted vehicles") may be stored in a garage/carport or in the side or rear yard of an occupied single-family or duplex lot, not extending more than five feet past the front of the home.
Manatee County Code 2-9-108(b) lets restricted vehicles (RVs, campers, and boats on trailers) park in a garage, carport, structure, or approved off-street storage. In side/rear yards they may not extend more than five feet past the home's front and must belong to the owner or tenant. On a corner lot's secondary front yard they must sit back ten feet and be screened by a six-foot fence or full hedge. Front-yard paved-driveway parking is allowed only in A, A-1, or RSF-1 districts, or briefly (max two times per 30 days, three days each) for loading/unloading. No water, sewer, or electric hookups except battery charging or repairs.
Code enforcement action under Ch. 162, F.S. and county Code chapter 2-7; each day a violation continues is a separate offense (Sec. 2-9-109).
