RVs, boat trailers, motor homes, and camping trailers may generally be parked on private property, but the County can designate restricted zones where they are banned from public streets. Where a restricted zone exists, they cannot stand on the street.
Under Virginia's local-authority statute (VA Code 46.2-1222.1), Prince William County may by ordinance regulate or prohibit street parking of watercraft, boat trailers, motor homes, and camping trailers. The County implements this through PWC Code 13-320.1, letting the Board of County Supervisors establish restricted parking zones after a petition (51% of households) or HOA resolution and a public hearing. In a designated zone these recreational vehicles cannot be left on the public street. A trailer connected to a tow vehicle may stand in a restricted area up to 72 hours for loading, unloading, or maintenance. On your own lot, zoning (Ch. 32) and any HOA covenants control placement.
Vehicles parked in violation of a designated restricted zone are subject to ticketing and towing at the owner's expense under Ch. 13.
