Prince George's County, MD Parking Rules: RV & Boat Parking (2026)

Under Prince George's County Code Subtitle 26 (Vehicles and Traffic), Section 26-135 bars parking any watercraft on any public County street, road, highway, or right-of-way at any time. A first violation draws a warning notice giving the owner 72 hours to remove the watercraft, then a $250 fine, with $500 for each later citation; unmoved watercraft may be towed by the Revenue Authority or County Police after a second violation. Trailers and RVs on the roadway also fall under Section 26-122 (72-hour limit) and Section 26-127.04(b)(18), which prohibits parking on an unpaved area of a residential lot. Municipalities such as Bowie, Hyattsville, and College Park may add stricter rules within their limits.
