Tualatin requires RVs, trailers, and recreational vehicles on residential property to be parked in the driveway or a paved or graveled area parallel to the driveway farthest from the residence. On-street storage over 72 hours is barred by TMC 8-1-260.
Per the City's parking standards (rooted in TDC Chapter 73C and TMC 6-13-040 for rental properties), motor vehicles, trailers, or recreational vehicles parked on residential property must sit in the driveway or in a paved or graveled area parallel to it, farthest from the home. No additional portion of the landscaped area in front of the residence may be paved unless the TDC specifically allows it. On public streets, TMC 8-1-260 prohibits parking or storing any vehicle (including RVs and boats) for more than 72 continuous hours, unless the owner first obtains a 21-Day Storage on the Street Permit from the city.
Code Compliance enforces residential RV/boat parking under the TDC and TMC 6-13-040. Street violations of TMC 8-1-260 trigger citations and, after 24-hour written notice under ORS 819.170, towing at the owner's expense.
