Imperial County, CA Parking Rules: Street Parking Limits (2026)

No person shall stop, park, or leave standing any vehicle whether attended or unattended on any county road or roadway unless such vehicle shall be stopped, parked or left standing parallel to and not more than eighteen (18) inches from the right-hand curb, or if there be no curb, parallel to and not more than eighteen (18) inches from the extreme right-hand boundary of such road or roadway.B.Subsection A of this section shall not apply to a commercial vehicle when loading or unloading passengers or merchandise or when it is necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other traffic or compliance with the direction of law enforcement officers or an official traffic control device.C.No person who owns or has possession, custody or control of any vehicle shall park or leave such a vehicle standing on a county road, public street or highway for seventy-two (72) or more consecutive hours. In the event that a vehicle is parked or left standing upon a public street or highway for seventy-two (72) or more consecutive hours, it may be removed by any member of the California Highway Patrol or by any salaried deputy of the sheriff's office of the county of Imperial to the nearest available garage, in which event all of the provisions of the Vehicle Code of the state of California with respect to such removal shall be applicable.D.The board of supervisors may, be resolution, from time to time permit angle parking and may designate no parking and tow-away zones.
