Henrico County, VA Parking Rules: Street Parking Limits (2026)

Henrico County Code Chapter 22, Article IV governs stopping, standing, and parking on public streets. Section 22-155 makes it unlawful to park any vehicle without a current state license (and required county license) on any highway, roadway, or public alley. Section 22-152 authorizes the county manager to designate restricted and no-parking areas with posted signs, and Section 22-153 lists specific places where stopping, standing, or parking is always prohibited (within 20 feet of an intersection's curblines, on the roadway side of a parked vehicle, or wherever official signs prohibit it). There is no countywide meter system; most residential streets allow legal parking of licensed, operable vehicles unless posted otherwise.
