Dade City manages street parking in its historic downtown and antiques district. Time-limited parking applies in the downtown area. The Kumquat Festival and other events create periodic increased parking demand in the small-town center.
Dade City's street parking regulations for city limits follow standard city road rules. Vehicles may park on public streets where not prohibited by signage, provided they are currently registered, in operable condition, and moved at least once every 72 hours. Parking is prohibited within 15 feet of fire hydrants, 20 feet of intersections and crosswalks, and 30 feet of stop signs. Vehicles must park in the direction of traffic flow. Abandoned vehicles (unregistered or inoperable) will be tagged and towed after a 72-hour notice period.
Parking violations carry fines of $35β$75 per citation. Abandoned vehicles are towed at the owner's expense ($150β$400 plus daily storage fees). Blocking fire lanes carries fines of $250+.
