1 lists 19 specific stopping, standing and parking prohibitions: vehicles may not block a public driveway, sidewalk, intersection or crosswalk; may not stand within 15 feet of a fire hydrant, 20 feet of a crosswalk at an intersection, 30 feet of a stop or yield sign, 20 feet of a fire station driveway (75 feet on the opposite side), or 30 feet of an intersection generally; and may not stop within 50 feet of a railroad grade crossing or on a curve or hill marked with a no-passing line.

Subsection A(8) separately bars standing or parking in front of a private driveway without the consent of the owner or occupant, and Subsection A(19), added by Bill No. , Monday through Saturday, without the owner's consent. On a two-way roadway, a parked vehicle must sit parallel to the curb with its right wheels within 12 inches of the curb; on a one-way roadway either the right or left wheels may be within 12 inches, so long as the vehicle points with authorized traffic (Subsections C and D).

Subsection B bars stopping on the roadway itself when it is practicable to pull off, and bars stopping anywhere it cannot be seen clearly from 200 feet in both directions. Subsection E bars parking on private property without the owner's, tenant's or agent's permission, enforceable by citation on the property owner's request. None of these rules apply to an emergency vehicle responding to a call or to a utility, telecommunications or cable company vehicle positioned to perform necessary work (Subsection F). A violation carries a $25 fine under Section 244-20(I).
