Snohomish County restricts oversized and commercial-vehicle street parking rather than ordinary cars. Large commercial vehicles and trailers may not sit on a non-residential public road more than 12 hours in any 24-hour period, and are banned outright on urban-residential roads (SCC 11.05).
Chapter 11.05 SCC governs street parking of large commercial vehicles (GVWR 14,001 lbs or more) and trailers. In non-residential areas the limit is 12 hours per 24-hour period unless under a right-of-way permit; in urban-residential areas such vehicles are prohibited at any time. Ordinary passenger vehicles are not time-limited by chapter 11.05, but any inoperable, unlicensed, or abandoned car on a county road is subject to the abandoned-vehicle rules (SCC 10.36) and RV time limits apply to recreational vehicles (SCC 11.06).
Violations of chapter 11.05 are traffic infractions subject to chapter 46.63 RCW. No warning signs are required for enforcement.
