Rapides Parish, LA Parking Rules: Street Parking Limits (2026)

Outside Alexandria, Pineville and the parish's smaller incorporated towns, on-street parking in unincorporated Rapides Parish runs on Rapides Parish Code § 18-2, adopted by ordinance March 13, 1956 and amended October 10, 2016. Subsection (a) makes it unlawful to park any vehicle longer than one hour on public roads or streets inside a recognized subdivision. Subsection (b) exempts privately owned passenger vehicles belonging to (or in the custody of) the owner or occupant of the abutting premises, and vehicles parked there by a guest or visitor with that owner's knowledge and consent, so residents and their guests are not timed off their own street frontage.
