Westchester County regulates parking on county-owned parkways and roads. All other street parking is governed by each city, town, or village.
The Westchester County Department of Public Works and Transportation regulates parking on county highways and parkways (Bronx River Parkway, Saw Mill River Parkway, Cross County Parkway, Hutchinson River Parkway, Sprain Brook Parkway). Parking is generally prohibited on parkways except in marked areas. Municipal streets are governed by local code — check your city/town/village parking ordinance for time limits, permit zones, and overnight rules.
County parkway parking violations: $50–$150 typical. Illegally parked vehicles on parkways may be towed at owner's expense.
