Under Pembroke Pines property maintenance code, garbage receptacles must be stored in the side or rear yard at all times except during the collection window. Bins may be placed at the curb no earlier than 6 PM the evening before the scheduled collection day and must be retrieved by 10 PM on collection day. Carts should be placed at least 3 feet from mailboxes, utility poles, trees, gas or water meters, fire hydrants, vehicles, and sprinkler heads. No outdoor storage of hard junk including appliances, furniture, vehicle parts, or scrap metal. Residents must maintain regular garbage service. Bulk pickup is available twice monthly with a 10 cubic yard limit per pickup.
Bins left curbside outside the collection window are a code violation. Failure to maintain garbage service is also a violation.
