In unincorporated Yuba County it is unlawful to loiter, stand, or sit at the entrance of a church, hall, theatre, park, or other place of public assemblage so as to obstruct that entrance, under Yuba County Code § 8.40.030. A companion section, § 8.40.020, bars the same conduct on public highways, sidewalks and crosswalks. Violation is a misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.
