Full Breakdown

Fort Smith Code § 18-82 bans smoking, chewing tobacco, snuff, e-cigarettes and vapor products in every city-owned or operated park and recreational facility. The city posts no-smoking signage in parks and facilities, and the parks and recreation director may add extra notices at doors and access points. First-time violators face a $25 fine; the fine rises to $50 for a second offense, $100 for a third, and $250 for any offense after that. The ban covers smokeless tobacco products like dip and snus as well as lit cigarettes, cigars and pipes: it applies inside city park and recreational-facility property, not to public sidewalks or private business patios generally.

Violations & Fines
