Tinley Park requires owners of residential rental property to register their rentals with the Village annually. Registration requires the property address, owner name and contact information, local agent contact (for out-of-area owners), and unit details. Registered rentals may be subject to periodic property maintenance inspections to verify compliance with smoke and carbon monoxide detector requirements, proper egress from sleeping areas, functioning heat and plumbing, and overall condition.
