Midwest City, OK Short-Term Rentals: Noise Rules (2026)

Under the city's short-term rental licensing ordinance, guests of a licensed short-term rental may not use sound equipment, amplified music or amplified musical instruments at all, and the rental may not generate noise, vibration, glare or odors that exceed the chapter 26 noise standards or unreasonably interfere with a neighbor's quiet enjoyment. License holders must post these noise restrictions where guests can see them. A violation counts against the license: the city may deny, suspend or revoke a short-term rental license for Code violations, including this noise provision, occurring within a twenty-four-month look-back period.
