Anne Arundel County requires STR operators to register with the county. Registration fee is $100 for a two-year term (reduced by emergency ordinance). Up to two STR properties allowed per operator. Applies to stays of 120 consecutive days or less.
Anyone hosting short-term stays (120 consecutive nights or less) in unincorporated Anne Arundel County must register with the county's Inspections and Permits Department. The registration fee was reduced from $400 to $100 for a two-year term by emergency ordinance effective January 26, 2021. Non-owner-occupied rentals are permitted with proper registration. Operators may register up to two STR properties.
