Full Breakdown

Unincorporated Clark County (including Paradise and Winchester, where the Strip sits) requires a short-term rental license under Chapter 7.100. The annual fee is $750 for three or fewer bedrooms, $1,500 for more than three, due in advance to the Department of Business License. Applicants also pay a nonrefundable $45 application fee plus a $150 inspection fee before issuance and again at renewal. Licensees who collect payment directly from guests must separately remit the county's combined transient lodging tax under Section 4.08.010, along with solid waste collection charges under Chapter 9.04.

Violations & Fines

Nonpayment of the annual fee, transient lodging tax, or solid waste charges is grounds for denial of renewal and can lead to suspension or revocation of the short-term rental license after a hearing before a hearing officer.
