Warner Robins, GA Sign Regulations: Digital Billboards (2026)

Warner Robins doesn't run a separate digital-billboard ordinance; it folds electronic displays into the general sign article's size and technology rules. Sec. 6-288 allows LED technology on freestanding, wall and joint signs, but restricts how much of the sign face the LED portion can occupy: sixty percent of a freestanding or wall sign's display area, or thirty percent of a joint sign's display area, with the LED portion still counted against the same overall square-footage caps that apply to that sign type under Sec. 6-279(b).

Billboards themselves are a narrower category. Sec. 1(e) confines billboards to M-2 industrial districts, caps their height at thirty-five feet, requires at least a half-mile of separation between billboards and forbids any billboard within one mile of a district where billboards are prohibited outright. Sec. 2 carves out one exception: billboards immediately adjacent to the I-75 right-of-way are allowed regardless of the M-2 restriction, provided the sign complies with Georgia Department of Transportation rules and the operator secures permits from both GDOT and the city.

Combined with the sizing table in Sec. 6-279(b)(1), a billboard's maximum display area citywide is three hundred sixty square feet, so an electronic billboard along I-75 could run a lit sixty-percent LED face within that 360-square-foot ceiling and the sixty-percent cap in Sec. 6-288.
