Pinal County, AZ Sign Regulations: Garage Sale Signs (2026)

The Pinal County Development Services Code regulates signs under Title 2. A sign permit must be secured from the county planning and development services department before erecting, relocating, or substantially reconstructing any nonexempt sign exceeding six square feet in area or higher than eight feet above grade, regardless of value. Small garage-sale and yard-sale signs generally fall under the exempt-sign category, but they may not obstruct clear vision, create a traffic hazard, or be placed in public rights-of-way where prohibited. Signs must be removed promptly after the event. Incorporated cities such as Maricopa, Casa Grande, and Apache Junction have their own temporary-sign and garage-sale-sign rules.
