Full Breakdown
Chapter 10.10, adopted to comply with the state Solar Rights Act and AB 2188, sets up an expedited permitting track for small residential rooftop solar systems (10 kW AC or 30 kWth or smaller) on one- or two-family homes in unincorporated Yuba County. Section 10.10.330(b) requires the County to complete review and issue the permit within three working days once the application is deemed complete. Section 10.10.330(f) consolidates every required inspection into a single final inspection, unless a separate fire inspection is needed because no agreement exists with the local fire authority.
Violations & Fines
An application that's incomplete or fails the eligibility checklist doesn't get penalized: it's routed to the standard, non-expedited building permit process, with a written correction notice detailing what's missing.
