Full Breakdown
Section 10.10.300 sets the eligibility checklist for Yuba County's expedited residential solar permit process: the installer must be a current California-licensed contractor specializing in photovoltaic or solar water heating systems, the system must be flush-mounted on a qualifying roof of a one- or two-family dwelling in a zero-snow-load location under 1,400 feet elevation, it cannot exceed the county's maximum legal building height, and it must serve on-site consumption only. Violations & Fines
A system that fails an eligibility item isn't barred. Section 10.10.300(3) routes it to the standard, non-expedited building permit process instead, though every solar installation still needs a building permit regardless of track.
