Posted no-soliciting signs (readable at 18-inch letter size typical) have the same legal effect as registry listing. Solicitors knowingly violating either face citations escalating on repeat offense. Per US Supreme Court in Watchtower Bible v. Stratton (2002), registries and sign rules cannot apply to religious, political, or noncommercial nonprofit canvassing.
