Gwinnett County recognizes 'No Soliciting' signs posted at residence entrances. Solicitors who ignore posted signs commit criminal trespass under GA Β§16-7-21 after being told to leave. Do-Not-Knock registries operated by some cities.
A clearly posted 'No Soliciting' sign constitutes notice. If a solicitor enters and refuses to leave when asked, it becomes criminal trespass (misdemeanor). Religious canvassing and political activity are constitutionally protected and cannot be prohibited by signs alone but solicitors must still leave when asked. Nonprofits and charities may also need a permit.
Criminal trespass: up to $1,000 fine and/or 12 months jail. Solicitation without permit: citation + fine $200-500.
