Full Breakdown
Section 5.05.008 bars peddlers and solicitors from approaching any property posted with a 'No Solicitation,' 'No Solicitors,' or 'No Peddlers' sign at the front door, and door-to-door activity is limited to the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Residents may also add their address to the City's no-call list; the list is public, every licensed peddler or solicitor receives a copy, and no license holder may enter or contact a listed property. A peddler or solicitor cannot return to the same residence within six months unless a prior occupant invited a return visit.
Violations & Fines
Ignoring a posted 'No Solicitation' sign, contacting someone on the City's no-call list, or canvassing outside 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. violates Section 5.05.008 and subjects the peddler or solicitor to citation and fine under Chapter 5's licensing penalties.
