Miami Beach maintains an official No Solicitation List through the City Clerk's Office. Residents can register their address to prohibit commercial solicitors from visiting. Posting a No Solicitation sign also provides protection. Commercial solicitors who contact registered addresses face enforcement action.
Miami Beach's No Solicitation Ordinance provides two mechanisms for residents to opt out of commercial door-to-door solicitation. First, residents can submit their address on the city's No Solicitation Request Form through the City Clerk's Office to be added to the official No Solicitation List. Solicitors are required to check and respect this list. Second, residents can post a No Solicitation sign at their property entrance, which solicitors must honor. Residents who do not register on the list or post a sign may receive visits from permitted commercial solicitors during allowed hours. The ordinance does not apply to noncommercial activities such as political campaigns, religious organizations, or charitable canvassing. The City Clerk's Office administers the list and can be reached at 305-604-CITY (2489). Code Compliance handles enforcement of violations at (305) 673-7555.
Commercial solicitors who contact addresses on the No Solicitation List or ignore posted No Solicitation signs face enforcement action. First offense results in a warning. Repeat violations may lead to Business Tax Receipt revocation. Residents should report violations to Code Compliance at (305) 673-7555.
