Full Breakdown

Residents may post No Soliciting or No Trespassing signs at driveway entrances or front doors. Commercial solicitors, peddlers, and distributors must honor these signs and may not approach for sales purposes. Ignoring a posted sign is a code violation and may constitute trespass after warning under Florida Statute 810.09. Religious and political canvassers generally retain First Amendment rights to approach but are encouraged to respect resident wishes; persistent refusal to leave after being told to do so is trespass. Plant City does not currently operate a central No-Knock registry, so residents rely on posted signage.

Violations & Fines

Ignoring No Soliciting sign: $100 fine first offense. Refusal to leave after warning: trespass per FL 810.09, second-degree misdemeanor, up to 60 days jail.
