Nashua, NH Soliciting & Door-to-Door: Solicitor Permits (2026)

Nashua requires anyone acting as a "vendor", hawkers, peddlers, itinerant magazine salesmen, and itinerant vendors who sell house to house, to get a license from the City Clerk before operating (§ 231-11). Applicants submit a written application naming themselves, the business, and what's being sold. Fees run $10 per day, $25 per week, or $100 for the year, and annual licenses expire December 31. Itinerant magazine salesmen face a 9:00 a.m.-to-8:00 p.m. curfew under § 231-16, and the City Clerk may suspend or revoke a license for fraud or misrepresentation under § 231-21. Charitable door-to-door solicitation instead uses a separate, fee-free two-day permit under § 231-9.
