Unincorporated Washington County does not operate a countywide solicitor permit system; door-to-door commercial activity is governed by state trespass law (ORS 164.245) and consumer protection statutes (ORS 646.608). Cities within the county each require permits: Beaverton BC 7.04 requires a Peddler/Solicitor permit with a fingerprint-based background check through Beaverton Police Department; fee approximately $50-$125 with 1-year validity.
