Tulsa, OK Special Events & Permits: Parade Permits (2026)

Under Tulsa Revised Ordinances Title 37, Chapter 14, any organized parade, procession, or assembly that travels in unison on a street outside normal traffic controls counts as a "special event" and needs a permit before it can happen, on public or private property. Major events using public rights-of-way need applications filed 60 days ahead; minor events on private property only, 40 days. Organizers must carry at least $1,000,000 in general liability insurance naming the City as additional insured, filed at least 15 business days before the event. Funeral processions, sidewalk picketing, and one-block neighborhood block parties are exempt.
