Camden County, NJ Special Events & Permits: Park Event Permits (2026)

The Camden County Parks Department issues site-use permits under Article 3, Section 2 of the Camden County Park Regulations for anyone who wants to reserve county park property rather than use it as a walk-up visitor. A permit is required to reserve any athletic field or court, and separately to reserve a picnic area, shelter, pavilion, amphitheater/stage, or parking lot; the same individuals or groups may reserve those spaces up to three times per year. A separate permit covers use of a boat slip at the Wiggins Park Marina, and any group of 50 or more people gathering anywhere in the park system needs a permit regardless of which facility it uses.

Article 3, Section 1 sets the conditions attached to every permit: the holder must strictly follow the Regulations and all applicable New Jersey statutes, the Board of County Commissioners (still named the Board of Chosen Freeholders in this 2021 edition) or its authorized representative can revoke a permit for any violation, and that decision is final. If a permit is revoked, all money the holder already paid is forfeited to the County, and the holder and any agents or employees involved remain jointly and severally liable for additional damages the County suffers beyond the forfeited amount.
