Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District (RivCoParks) operates over 40 parks, wilderness areas, and historic sites. Events in these parks require one of three authorizations: (1) a standard shelter reservation for small family gatherings under 50 people (fees $50-$200), (2) a Special Use Permit for gatherings of 50-250 people (fees $250-$1,000 plus deposits), or (3) a Large Event Permit for 250+ attendees, amplified sound, alcohol, or commercial activity (custom pricing). Applications should be submitted 60-90 days in advance. Required documents include a site plan, event schedule, insurance certificate ($1-$2 million), alcohol license if applicable, and in some cases a traffic/parking plan. Amplified sound requires specific approval and must comply with park closing times (typically sunset or 10 PM). Fees and damages deposits refundable on clean-out.
