Full Breakdown
Anyone holding a special event in Midwest City, a street fair, festival, or similar outdoor public gathering, needs a permit from the city clerk (Sec. 32-89), with the complete application filed at least 30 days before the event (Sec. 32-92(d)). The application must include a complete list of every vendor proposed to operate at the event (Sec. 32-91(5)), and once the event is underway, all non-licensed vendors are prohibited from participating (Sec. 32-92(e)). The permit fee is $75 (Sec. 32-90), events run up to 7 consecutive days per location per month (Sec. 32-84), and any food truck vendor faces additional registration under Sec. 32-96.1, including health department, fire marshal and sales-tax permits.
Violations & Fines
Conducting a special event without a permit, or letting a non-licensed or unlisted vendor participate, is a violation; every day it continues is a separate offense punishable under Sec. 1-8.
