Nevada Adult Home Cannabis Cultivation Six Plant Limit

Under NRS 678D.200 and Article 4 Section 38 of the Nevada Constitution, adults 21 and older may grow up to six marijuana plants for personal use, with a household limit of twelve plants regardless of occupants. Home cultivation is permitted only if the residence lies more than 25 miles by road from the nearest operating retail cannabis store. Plants must be grown in an enclosed, locked space not visible from public view. Property owners and landlords may prohibit cultivation on their premises. Sale or distribution of homegrown cannabis is prohibited. Cities and counties cannot ban cultivation that complies with the statewide standard but may regulate odor, electrical safety, and nuisance.

Exceeding plant limits or growing within 25 miles of a dispensary is a misdemeanor and can be a felony for larger amounts under NRS 453.339, plus civil forfeiture.
