Oklahoma Tobacco 21 Age Restrictions Statewide

Under 63 O.S. 1-229 and related provisions, it is unlawful for any retailer to sell, give, or furnish tobacco or vapor products to persons under 21. Retailers must verify age using a valid government-issued photo identification. The law applies to cigarettes, cigars, smokeless tobacco, e-cigarettes, vape liquids, and nicotine pouches. Penalties escalate with repeated violations and may include retailer fines and permit suspensions. Underage purchase, possession, or attempted purchase by minors may also be subject to civil penalties handled outside the criminal system.
