Wyoming Mobile Food Establishment Licensing Standards

Under the Wyoming Food Safety Rule adopted pursuant to W.S. 35-7-110 and Title 11, mobile food establishments including food trucks must obtain a license from the Wyoming Department of Agriculture Consumer Health Services. The state adopts FDA Food Code standards covering construction, water and waste, temperature control, employee health, and commissary requirements. State inspection and licensing apply uniformly, so a food truck cannot operate without state approval regardless of municipal rules. Cities and counties may layer business licenses, vending zone restrictions, and parking limits on top of state licensing but cannot waive state food safety requirements or operate independent food sanitation programs without state delegation.

Operating without a state mobile food license, violating Food Safety Rule provisions, or refusing inspection can result in license suspension, fines, and food embargo orders by the Department.
